It had become too expensive to maintain the lifting gear of the Victorian, Neo-Gothic font cover, so the Friends of All Saints’ Church commissioned Tim Aze of Chiltern Carving to create a cover that could be easily handled, in a matching style, with the old cover being displayed nearby. The new cover is beautiful in its own right and blends sympathetically with the original font cover and adjacent bookcases: it is an aesthetically pleasing addition to this beautiful church. It will also save the PCC at least £600pa at current prices!
The cover was presented by the Friends at a party on 24thMay and blessed by Rev. Peter Littleford at the service on 1st June 2025.
